ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TODAY- My Purpose for Living
I just attended the funeral of a cousin. It was a sobering reminder that my life is meant to be more than just January 30,1962- (date of death). My life is meant to be poured out for others, in my weakness, mistakes, shortcomings, joys, and sorrows. I failed yesterday, I failed today, and I will fail tomorrow. However, the day I leave this earth, it won’t be about the things that I failed at that will count, but how many times I got up and said, “I’m tired, I’m hurting, I hate what I’m going through Lord, still, I’m willing to take one more step because there is something You know about me and have a plan and a purpose for that I don’t know.” To that end, the “-” in between is the handprint of His story in my life spelled out for my purpose for living. Be it tomorrow or 50 years from now, my “-” is more than I ever imagined and I am forever thankful.
