ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TODAY: What Mask Are You Wearing?
Daily, as humans, we put on masks, believing that the mask will show a character that is lovable, acceptable, and worthwhile to others. We say we are doing well when we are really grieving inside. We pretend that we are strong and together because we believe any show of our true issues or realities of our real world will show that we are weak and damaged. How ironic that we so desire others to take off their masks or desire for others to see us as we are, yet fear removing our own mask. Courage is not going without fear. It is taking off one’s mask because their identity does not lie in what is behind it but Who will do amazing things through the weaknesses that are revealed. You can do this!
