Man, we hate to wait don’t we? I do. I posted about God’s irrevocable gifts to us and how He will always us them in His time. He does give us a few hints when that time will come.
Hint 1: While God continues to use our gifts throughout our lives, we can get a sense that God is about to do something special when we come to a point when we come to end of ourselves. Basically, we give up and say, “Okay, I’m ready to do it Your way, God.” That doesn’t mean we are weak or helpless. If anything, we become more powerful realizing that now we can do all things through Christ. (i.e. Joseph stopped trying to get out of prison in his own way)
Hint 2: When God does a work utterly outside ourselves. (i.e God caused Pharaoh to dream a specific dream)
Hint 3: We can get an indication that God’s timing is beginning when things are appearing for which there is no natural explanation. There is no possible way under Heaven that situation could have taken place. It is just not possible for that to happen….only one explanation. (i.e. Suddenly no one in the land had any ability to understand or interpret his dream)
Hint 4: We get another indication of God timing when God reaches us where we are without any effort on our part. (i.e. Joseph called to interpret dream)
Of course, we cannot manipulate or figure out God’s next steps. However, He continually reminds us in everything, “Don’t fear”, “Trust Him”, “Be still and know He is God”, “To know that He knows the plans He has for us” and to remember that everything single thing we care about He cares about even more. Your story is not over and your plan is not finished. Be encouraged.
