Yesterday, I spoke with someone who told me they were put on this earth to live, go through struggles, die, and hope that their good outweighed the bad. I was heartbroken at the sadness and disbelief they shared in having so little value of their purpose and worth in life. The fact remains, that I constantly mentor, talk to, and hear people claiming the same views regarding their own lives.
It is easy to believe and accept that we have little purpose and potential in life when we often view ourselves through the mirror of people’s comments, our past, and the things in life that bear down on us. We choose to look into that blurred mirror instead of the point of view from God’s eyes and the value we truly hold.
Perhaps today, you are at a point where you are worn out, tired of fighting an uphill battle, or feel like life is nothing but a struggle. Be encouraged by the words of this post in knowing you have been placed on the earth to dream and to have your potential and purpose realized, even though it may not look like you imagine.
We have been created to dream, to yearn for more than the ordinary day-to-day provides. We feel that yearning each time we hear a story of someone accomplishing their own dreams or achieving great heights. That’s why we love to read and watch biographies of people’s lives and the harrowing escapes, sacrifices, and challenges they went through. Their stories stir up the dreams in us. We realize we have been created to dream every time we feel that unsatisfied knot of discontentment in our stomachs that cry out, “There has got to be more to my life!”, which is a confirmation that we have been wired to dream for a time that has not occurred as of that moment.
You are not ordinary. Your life, no matter how dramatic or uneventful, is meant to be shared and impact the lives of others. You have been created to be more, to impact lives because of your story, to encourage through your journey, or to help others with your success. You were not placed on this earth to live, struggle through life, die, and then hope your good outweighs the bad.
Today is the day to realize no age, disability, poverty level, past situation, unemployment situation, dream stealer, person, family condition, fear, health condition, education level, knowledge base, non-platform or anything can prevent us from our dreams. The ONLY true dream stealer is ourselves. You can do this!
Take care,
Charlotte
