Hey there, how are you doing?
I don’t know about you but there are times lately where I just want to scream. Man, between the pandemic, racial unrest, crazy politics, the raging winter storm, and people wanting only what they want regardless of the harm and hurt to others, all I can do is shake my head and try to stay sane.
Believe me, as an encourager, sometimes it is easy to focus on the positive and the lessons that will come on the other side. Yes, I send positive messages and images about trusting the Lord and how He is totally in control. Yes, Jesus is still on the Throne and everything is totally going according to His plan. However, this post is not about what the Lord is doing or being positive. It is about sharing and allowing ourselves to feel what we feel and validating that while moving toward a healthy perspective
With that said, scream, cuss, hit a pillow, talk it out, have a “you” day, and cry it out. You are not crazy or weird. We are all having feelings of loneliness, anger, sadness, and more. Yes, hold on to the Lord. However, let’s allow ourselves to be real and imperfect in the meantime.
Hang in there. You are not alone. Let’s scream, ask God the hard questions and eat chocolate for a whole day. Then stand on His truth.
As always, if you have questions, comments, suggestions on topic areas or would like to share some of your story, please email me. I would love to hear from you.
Take care
Charlotte
