We spend so much time worrying about who likes us, what someone is doing, our worth to others, and our faults, and shortcomings, while at the same time, trying to figure out why our lives aren’t working. At the end of the day, people’s words and opinions of us, plus five dollars might get a value meal at the local restaurant. Until those same words that people use to correct lives work to perfect their own, they fail to have power or importance.
Whether you are moving toward the hope of a job and/or a home, have a dream of writing a book or a play, or a desire to find a cure for a crippling disease, do not allow anyone or anything to steal your dream away.
Take care,

Maybe the idea of creating a new organization to change the status quo is running through your mind. Perhaps, you have been asked to lead a group at church, thought of writing a book, start a sports team, begin a business, or tell your story to a support group that could learn from you.
Regardless of the situation, each action will take a leap of faith and a beginning of a dream. Each situation will require you to do or try something you have not done before or test an ability you are not sure you have.
What beginning of a dream is requiring you to step out of your safety zone and act upon it? Do you find it difficult to begin to dream right now after going through certain strains, struggles, uncertainty, or some fear? You can do this!
Take care,

Life is too short to worry about why someone else is doing better than we are. Man, it really gets rough sometimes but now is not the time to blame everybody and Santa Claus for why things are bad and life is not working the way we planned.Â
Now is not the time to envy celebrities or anyone else for what they do, the poor choices they make, or what they have. Instead of making it about the time of others, what choices will we make to change our lives, be brave, and change our world? At what point do we tire of being mere spectators of others’ lives? Whoever said the words, “I don’t have a choice” lied. Now is the Time for Courage. Question: How will you move in courage today?
You can do this!

We hate what we fear! Those things that we are insecure about become our fears. Because fear is based on our limitations, we have a knee-jerk response to control. That control needs “me” to be stronger while “others or the situation” is less. For example, racist hatred is based on the fear that someone is taking something from who they are. They must put someone else down to feel greater. If I feel insecure about my looks, race, weight, age, gender, etc. I will have a fear that it will be taken away or threatened. Therefore, I must become fierce, prove to others my pride, go to extreme measures to keep my looks or weight off or make demands for others to accept me or my beliefs. If I am insecure that I am loved, accepted, or have worth, I will hate anything or anyone that threatens or reminds me of that insecurity including God. What are you hating today due to an insecurity or fear? You can do this! www.charlottehunt.com.

I get it. I am a Choleric temperament and I prefer tasks and plans. Uncertainty is scary and feels so uncontrollable in my life. However, I was so encouraged by my reading today in Oswald Chambers, “Utmost for His Highest” which reminded me that my life is supposed to be uncertain yet certain in Him.
“The nature of the spiritual life is that we are certain in our uncertainly. …Certainty is the mark of the commonsense life – gracious uncertainty is the mark of the spiritual life. To be certain of God means that we are uncertain in all our ways, not knowing what tomorrow may bring. …When we become simply a promoter or a defender of a particular belief, something within us dies. That is not believing God – it is only believing our belief about Him. Jesus said, “Unless you…become as little children” (Matthew 18:3)”
If you are feeling scared, uncertain, a bit crazy, doubting yourself, and wondering why you seem to be in a holding pattern, not only are you exactly where the Lord wants you, but you are in the center of His will and way.
Be encouraged.
Take care,
Charlotte

Man, this can be really difficult, right? I remember when this became real to me. For so long, I remained the victim and hated those who hurt and abused me in my past. Then, I was reminded of the many I hurt, pushed away, and harmed and how I shut down my heart to God and others because of my pain. I then realized that in my pain, I was not a victim but a perpetrator.
Once I accepted the total forgiveness of Jesus (past, present, and future) also knowing that I continue to fall short and make mistakes, how could I possibly hold anyone, hostage, for their stuff? That’s being a hypocrite. As Christians, we must remember that Jesus’ forgiveness and relationship do not make us better than anyone else. We are still wounded humans learning to die to ourselves and live to what HE is making in us. I believe the more we allow others to see that we a still patients in need of a Great Physcian instead of suddenly thinking we are the Physcian’s helper, the more people would run to the Savior. Just saying. Be encouraged. Charlotte. www.charlottehunt.com.
