For some, the journey has been long and painful. It seems as though you are walking alone and the prayers and desires of your heart are going unanswered. Hold on, knowing your journey is a proving ground for what is just around the corner. You are not alone or forgotten. You are in preparation for your purpose.
You can do this!

Today, you may feel forgotten, lost, and wonder if you have wasted a lifetime of effort. You may wonder if it is worth the effort to push forward or even try to make a difference when wrong seems to pay and bad behavior seems to win. You will want to stop but do not. Anyone can be ordinary except for you. Take that next step and PUSH forward.
You can do this!Â
Take care,
Charlotte

Recently I was asked to post this sheet which was included in my book “Dream Madly, Pursue Wildly, Trust Completely”. I post it now for you hoping it will be a source of encouragement for you today.
REMINDERS OF WHO YOU ARE
Â
- You were born to dream
- Your past never disqualifies you from your future
- No matter how big or small, you are worth having a dream
- Your feelings are NOT the truth only indicators of something
- If a Christian (claim Jesus as Savior), you are righteous and holy (Ephesians 4:24)
- Making a mistake or failing will NEVER be a disqualifier but an opportunity for growth and character…if you allow them to be
- Your story, no matter how negative or positive, is for a purpose and plan
- Your ultimate source of love, acceptance, and worth does not come from a person, place, or thing so they have no power to take them away. Don’t give anyone’s words the power over who you are than God’s true view of who you are.
- There is a plan and a destiny for you
- Your worth is NOT based on what you do, sell, earn, or have it is based on who you are alone
- If a Christian (claim Jesus as Savior), you are God’s handiwork, created in Christ to do The work that He planned before you were born for you to do (Ephesians 2:10)
- What your father, mother, or person who told you that “you couldn’t” said was and will ALWAYS be wrong
- People, fear, performance, emotions, and the past are only dream stealers if you allow them to be
- If a Christian (claim Jesus as Savior), you are a friend of Christ (John 15:15)
- Without being famous, wealthy, or in a position, your life and what you do is important
- Your dreams and visions are vital and worth following
- If a Christian (claim Jesus as Savior), you are an alien and stranger in this world, and your groans experienced here will always be for your heavenly home (1 Peter 2:11)
- A sign that you are walking your journey well is struggle and testing and others being impacted by watching you
- Remember: Every breathing human is walking wounded with issues of their own. Their view of us plus $3 can’t even get a cup of coffee at the local coffee shop so don’t put too much value in their words, they mean very little.
- You deserve more than being ordinary
- Everything is a choice. What do you choose to do with your life?
You can do this!Â

Carter Godwin Woodson, (December 19, 1875 – April 3, 1950) was an American historian, author, journalist, and the founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. He was one of the first scholars to study the history of the African diaspora, including African-American history. A founder of The Journal of Negro History in 1916, Woodson has been called the “father of black history”.[2] In February 1926 he launched the celebration of “Negro History Week”, the precursor of Black History Month.[3]
Born in Virginia, the son of former slaves, Woodson had to put off schooling while he worked in the coal mines of West Virginia. He graduated from Berea College, and became a teacher and school administrator. He gained graduate degrees at the University of Chicago and in 1912 was the second African American, after W. E. B. Du Bois, to obtain a PhD degree from Harvard University. Most of Woodson’s academic career was spent at Howard University, a historically black university in Washington, D.C., where he eventually served as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

REMEMBER: Often a crisis or struggle is NOT an opposition but an opportunity. Like gold that must be heated or a precious diamond that must go through a hard process, we too must go through a difficult process in order to be refined and shine through all we have been created to be.
Be encouraged. If you are still breathing, God is not finished with you.
You can do this!
Take care,
Charlotte

REMEMBER: Unfortunately, the majority of what we believe about ourselves comes from the reflection of others who usually know us the least. We also believe more lies about ourselves than we do the truth. It is easier to believe we will fail in the future because we failed in the past, therefore we should not move forward. The lie is in believing there is something wrong with failing.
The worst mistake we can make is allowing “the mistake” to control our next step. All of us mess up and fall down. Learn from it, use it and move forward toward change. Please do not allow what we did to become who we are and cut off the potential of who we can be.
You can do this!Â
Take care,
Charlotte
