I am not understanding. My heart is breaking over all that is happening in the world today specifically with those of us that are Bible believing, blood washed followers of Jesus Christ. Among us especially my heart breaks the most.
The Bible has clearly forewarned us about times like these when we would be following voices instead of Him choosing the words of man and the things that are around us as opposed to following His heart. If we follow Jesus, a man who came to serve as the Son of God for our sins, us, who are not worthy of anything, how can we stand in judgment of others because they don’t look like us? If we call ourselves followers of Jesus how can we down others because they’re not of our same political party? How can we not have compassion for those who are not in our social economic status? If we love Jesus and say that we love the things he loves and hate the things he hates how can we feel righteous in allowing posts to be placed on our Facebook walls showing judgment, lack of compassion, racist comments, especially when we are attending church with people who don’t look like us or on worship teams representing Jesus Christ?
I don’t understand and as a Christian as a woman of color it is breaking my heart. I don’t know if God is testing what we are truly believing in rather it be Him or our feelings. But I do know each and every one of us will have to stand accountable for what we are doing and how we are acting against our fellow human beings at this time. As election day approaches I’d beg you in whom ever you vote for that your first choice would be Jesus Christ above everything and above every person. God bless you and let’s go back to the word have a blessed day. Charlotte.
