THE JOURNEY TO PURPOSE – When You Come To That Point of Saying, “I Give Up”
It is one thing to talk about suffering or struggles to people in the process of walking out their purpose and it is something totally different to live it out. The ones living it out are the ones who understand the feeling of coming to the point of sometimes saying, “I give up!”
This post is for those who understand the struggle of doing everything you know to do in trying to gain employment yet the doors constantly shut on your face and you wonder what you’re doing wrong. This post is for those who try and try again to live upright and trust the Lord yet at every turn a husband, a wife, a friend blames you, fails to support your journey, and simply does not get it.
This is for those who are dealing with situations out of your control that seem to push and wear you down to a point where your hope is fragile. This is for those struggling with feelings of failure, loneliness, confusion, sorrow, and directionlessness and so desperately long for answers. This is for those who are going through financial loss and problems, not because of overspending, but due to unemployment, others, life, and situations out of your control that causes you to feel like an outcast by those who have not walked in your shoes or lost what you have lost.
It is so hard to keep trusting, trying to hope, and waiting in desperation while fighting off the lies, emotional self-beatdowns, questions of God, and beliefs that things will never change. It is hard to trust and believe that in the midst of your suffering and struggles and madness of life that there is great meaning and purpose for your life. To add, the journey is so tiring and while you desire to keep moving forward, everything in you just wants to give up. It is so difficult to fight a battle that doesn’t have set guidelines or even an indication of how many rounds are needed till the end.
For you, those who are ready to give up….don’t! For those who are saying, I can’t……you can. I will guarantee that if you made it to this point, you have more courage, strength, and perseverance than you believe and nothing can’t count you out. Hold on. I don’t know your situation nor your story, but I know mine and I tell you that you can do this. Don’t give up. There is a finish line. There is a purpose of why you are going through what you are going through right now. I promise you that! Hold on.
Be encouraged, it’s a journey, not a destination.
