Remember the source of your identity (love, worth and acceptance) is not based on your job (their only promise is a paycheck and nothing more), your performance, your husband, wife, your past, your good works, how good you look, your buildings, your church membership, how much money you have, how many clothes in your closet, how perfect you think your life is, how few mistakes you have made, your connections, how many books you have written, what you did in the past, your failures, your prison record, your abuse, your issues or even you or me. It is solely based on who He is and our acceptance of His exchanged life in us. There is nothing we can do to earn our worth, love and acceptance. No one can. Perhaps it is a good time to be more grateful for what we have received and less judging and complaining of those around us as though we received nothing.
The great news about that is knowing none of us has to feel less than because we have junk or issues. We were never created to have it all together or to handle things in our own strength. We bought into a lie that our worth is about what we do and have. It is not. It is solely about who we are in Christ through His identity which is perfect and makes us whole and strengthens us. We can do all things through Him not us.
