It breaks my heart that we exist in a society where a person is either all bad or all good. A person can act wrongly yet become the victim and saintly. A person can try the best they can then make mistakes, yet become the villain. None of us are perfect. Why do we feel the need to put someone else down in order to feel better about ourselves? Why must one party/race/gender/etc. be horrible and wrong in order to feel good about our own to be good? I believe healing takes place when 1) We are willing to take the risk to sit down with someone who is not like us (age, race, party, social status, etc.) and get to know them as a person, not a statistic and 2) Take responsibility for our actions. In our hurt, we hurt others. I cannot condemn you knowing my own failings. Let’s be about more than talk and judgments based on what we hear in the media. Understand the whole picture and history. Have a blessed day. Charlotte.
